Razzy’s story
After losing almost 40kg through weight loss surgery 12 years ago, my self confidence grew but I was still suffering with ‘IBS’. I joined SW in an effort to get healthier and I couldn’t understand why no-one talked about how bloated they were, and how uncomfortable they were. Then I realised that it was just me.
This catapulted my journey into finding out what was causing the bloating etc. I came to the conclusion that it was sugar, and so began my sugar free journey. I discovered that apples bloated me, so I cut those out, and along with them, every type of processed food. Jump ahead 6-7 years, and we get to this point.
I’ve done paleo (but missed cheese), Keto and now I’m mainly meat based.
I have no symptoms of IBS anymore, I take zero medications, and my knowledge and learning have increased so much.
I will bore anyone who strikes up a conversation with me, about the benefits of cutting sugar and processed food out their lives. I am passionate about each of us taking our health into our own hands and becoming responsible for our health.

Earlier this year, my 10 year old boy was diagnosed with Epilepsy after having some mild focal seizures in his hand. Then he had some major seizures, and I knew instinctively that I should change his diet to Keto. The Ketogenic diet was developed to control Epilepsy, and all of a sudden, it just made sense to me. The years of knowledge building before this point was all a pre-cursor to helping my boy adapt to a Keto diet (which he is doing like a champ!) He has watched me for the last 6-7 years cut out the foods which are bad for me, and make better choices. He’s watched me create alternatives, and get creative in the kitchen. He has always had a love of food, and now he gets to have a heavily meat-based diet alongside me. We support each other and I always make sure that he has Keto snacks to take out and about with him.
It’s all very new to us, but we’re fighting off medication at this point and opting for healing through diet.
I love and live for coffee – throw a steak in the deal too and you’ve got a friend for life!
